Integrated urban water management (IUWM) is the key to match with the thirst of increasingly urbanizing cities wherein the surface water, rain water, treated waste-water and groundwater should be placed into one paradigm.
IUWM focuses on building a collaborative approach involving all stakeholders – local authorities such as Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagar Palike, and local citizen groups among others can allocate priorities, develop solutions and take accountability.
